2021 Focus:
Besides, a heterogeneous sandwich catalytic system is further developed, which combines HKUST-1 net and TEMPO grafted on carbon cloth as a heterogeneous catalytic system. This combination system can achieve 100% conversion and 100% selectivity at 120°C for 60 minutes and 100% vanillin yield. This process of completely converting vanillin into vanillin surpasses almost all the values of other processes in the literature, and becomes a stable and reusable composite catalytic system for the oxidation of vanillin to vanillin. Exfoliated nanoclay could absorb ammonia and suppress water content in the fecies in domestic fowls. Dietary supplementation of the nanoclay ameliorated inflammatory response in the respiratory system in chickens.


2022 Focus:
Three-dimensional MOF composite material would be further applied for conversion of various bio-derived substances through combining multiple oxidants to optimize the oxidation reaction of various types of bio-derivatives. Besides, a new type of three-dimensional carbon-based catalyst would be developed for the conversion of bio-derivatives, and establishing a sustainable and efficient catalytic oxidation of biomass derivatives! During 2022-2023, studies will be focused on the amelioration of nanclay on ammonia in poultry houses and its effects on respiratory tract health of chickens.
